What is PD ISO/TR 4813 about?
PD ISO/TR 4813 is a document on hydraulic fluid power. PD ISO/TR 4813 provides the background for ISO 11171:2020 and the use of μm(c) as the sole means of reporting particle size for APC particle count data.
PD ISO/TR 4813 also summarizes results of the international inter-laboratory study (ILS) of its reproducibility using SRM 2806d candidate material and suspensions of Reference Material (RM) 8632a.
The ILS results provided the basis for certification of SRM 2806d used for primary calibration of APC their implications with respect to particle counting and filter testing are discussed in PD ISO/TR 4813.
Who is PD ISO/TR 4813 for?
PD ISO/TR 4813 on hydraulic fluid power is useful for:
- Earthmoving equipment manufacturers
- Printing press
- Aerospace organizations
- Automobile industries
- Industries working with heavy machinery
- Furniture manufacturers
Why should you use PD ISO/TR 4813?
Hydraulic fluid power is transmitted by the controlled circulation of pressurized fluid, usually a water-soluble oil or water-glycol mixture, to a motor that converts it into a mechanical output capable of doing work on a load.
PD ISO/TR 4813 provides information on a consensus standard like SRM 2806d, which is developed in co-operation with all parties with an interest in participating in the development or use of the standard.
PD ISO/TR 4813 on hydraulic fluid power provides the background for ISO 11171:2020 which can be extensively used as these power systems have greater flexibility than mechanical and electrical systems and can produce more power than such systems of equal size.
