What is PD ISO/TS 16095 about?
PD ISO/TS 16095 defines the physical and chemical tests on raw reclaimed natural rubber.
PD ISO/TS 16095 also defines the standard materials, standard test formulations, equipment, and processing methods for evaluating the vulcanization characteristics, and the mechanical properties of reclaimed natural rubber.
Who is PD ISO/TS 16095 for?
PD ISO/TS 16095 on evaluation procedure for reclaimed rubber is applicable to:
- Companies involved in rubber recycling
- Rubber manufacturers
- Suppliers and importers of reclaimed rubber
Why should you use PD ISO 16095?
Rubber compounding ingredients include reclaimed rubber. Unlike scrap steel, scrap rubber must go through a particular procedure before it can be reused, and the rubber that results from this process is known as reclaimed rubber.
PD ISO/TS 16095 guides you on the physical and chemical tests on raw rubber, preparation of test mix, evaluation of vulcanization characteristics, evaluation of Mooney viscosity, tensile stress-strain properties and more. This enables you to evaluate mechanical and vulcanization characteristics.
The business guidance given in PD ISO/TS 16095 helps you to evaluate the characteristics of reclaimed rubber, thereby enabling you to produce high-quality rubber products.
What’s changed since the last update?
PD ISO/TS 16095:2021 supersedes PD ISO/TS 16095:2014, which is now withdrawn.
Changes in PD ISO/TS 16095:2021 include –
- Update of the normative references
- Addition of the CAS numbers in Table 1
- Addition of a Bibliography
