What is ISO/TS 23034 about?
ISO/TS 23034 describes a near-infrared optical absorption method to estimate the in vitro cellular uptake of carbon nanomaterials including both internalized and/or tightly adhered to the cell membrane from liquid dispersions. This is a simple method to screen carbon nanomaterials uptake; additional analysis using a different technique can be required if quantification is desired.
ISO/TS 23034 contains a gist of method of near-infrared optical absorption, materials and apparatus required, cell-uptake testing protocol, source variability and data output.
Who is ISO/TS 23034 for?
ISO/TS 23034 on nanotechnologies is applicable to:
- Electronics industry
- Nanotechnology industry
- Biology research
- Solar Cells manufacturer
- Battery manufacturer
- Aerospace industry
- Fuels industry
- Chemical sensors manufacturer
- Sporting goods manufacturer
Why should you use ISO/TS 23034?
Reduce possible toxicity from carbon nanomaterials-based products by applying ISO/TS 23034 methods to estimate the in vitro cellular uptake of carbon nanomaterials.
ISO/TS 23034 provides a simple and cost-effective method of determining carbon nanomaterials uptake from cells. ISO/TS 23034 also helps the Estimation of the amount of carbon nanomaterials associated with the targeted cells is useful for initial toxicological screening of carbon nanomaterials and for developing applications in medicine.
