Why should you use BS EN 12763 — Fibre-cement pipes and fittings?
Fibre-cement pipes and fitting materials perform a key role in the task of carrying fluids, in the building and construction industry. The materials that are commonly used in making pipes are ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and non-metals. Non-metal pipes include cement, GRE/GRP, HDPE, and PVC/CPVC pipes.
BS EN 12763 provides you with guidance on technical specifications for fibre-cement pipes and fittings. It covers requirements for pipes and fittings such as the composition of the material used, pipe ends, mechanical characteristics as well as physical characteristics, which helps users to check compliance with international standards.
BS EN 12763 gives you information about the test methods such as acceptance tests and type tests for fibre-cement pipes and fittings. It also talks about the standard geometrical characteristics, which helps the users to understand the diameter, thickness, and length of fibre-cement pipe and fittings.
Users of BS EN 12763 can get guidance on the quality control measures and use the references for testing and inspection procedure for pipes and fittings, which helps in enhancing their life.
Thus, BS EN 12763 provides you with comprehensive information useful for producing high-quality, cost-effective, durable fibre-cement pipes and fittings with minimum or no manufacturing defects.
