What is ISO 11105 about?
ISO 11105 is an International Standard on small crafts.
ISO 11105 that specifies requirements for the ventilation of petrol engine and petrol tank compartments in small craft having petrol engines for propulsion, electrical generation or mechanical power, to prevent the accumulation of explosive gases in these compartments.
Note: Personal watercraft are not covered in ISO 11105.
Who is ISO 11105 for?
ISO 11105 on port and marine operations is relevant to:
- Ships and marine manufacturers
- Marine products and equipment manufacturers
- Design engineers
- Mechanical engineers
- Quality control and testing departments
Why should you use ISO 11105?
Since gasoline expands and shrinks with a change in temperature, fuel tanks need appropriate venting to relieve both vacuum and pressure.
ISO 11105 helps you in providing comprehensive requirements and guidance for the planning, engineering and safe execution of port and marine operations for all types of offshore wind farm components including cable-laying and burial operations and installation and operation of floating turbines moored to the seabed.
Adopting ISO 11105 provides you with the principles of and requirements and guidance for port and marine operations associated with foundations, substructures, WTG, cables, and topsides installed in offshore wind farms, from the point of view of planning, engineering, construction, and documentation.
ISO 11105 can ensure that port and marine operations are conducted within defined and standardised safety and regulatory practices.
