What is ISO 19893 - Temperature cycling of thermoplastics pipes about?
Thermoplastics pipes are lightweight and durable which makes them popular.
ISO 19893 specifies a method for testing the resistance to temperature cycling of joints for piping systems with rigid or flexible thermoplastics pipes.
The method described in ISO 19893 applies to thermoplastics piping systems intended to be used in hot and cold-water pressure applications.
Who is ISO 19893 - Temperature cycling of thermoplastics pipes for?
ISO 19893 on the temperature cycling of thermoplastics pipes is useful for companies associated with:
- Water distribution
- Drainage and sewage system
- Waste management
- Irrigation
- Conduit
- Fire sprinkler
- Process piping
- Gas distribution
ISO 19893 is also useful for transport companies related to oil and gas.
Why should you use ISO 19893 - Temperature cycling of thermoplastics pipes?
Thermoplastics are plastic polymers used as alternatives to traditional pipelining materials. They are used in handling slurries like bottom ash, fly ash, and different types of abrasive solutions. Thermoplastics pipes offer high-pressure capacity, reliability, ruggedness, corrosion resistance, and are easy to install.
ISO 19893 walks you through the process to assess the temperature cycling resistance of thermoplastics pipes. ISO 19893 guides on:
- Coldwater source
- Hot water source
- Balancing valves
- Alternation equipment
- Pressure gauge
- Tensioning device
The guidelines in ISO 19893 help you provide your customers with durable, temperature resistant thermoplastics pipes.
