What is ISO 21573‑2 about?
ISO 21573 discusses machinery and equipment that are used for building purposes in construction work. ISO 21573‑2 is the second part of the multi-series of the international standard to examine the technical parameters of concrete pumps.
ISO 21573‑2 specifies the procedure and requirements for examining the technical commercial specifications of factory new piston-type concrete pump and rotary-type concrete pump.
Procedures and requirements under ISO 21573‑2 apply to mobile concrete pumps and stationary concrete pumps that are machines used in construction works.
Who is ISO 21573‑2 for?
ISO 21573‑2 on concrete pumps is relevant to:
- Concrete pumps manufacturers and suppliers
- Construction companies
- Civil engineers
Why should you use ISO 21573‑2?
A concrete pump is a machine that is used in construction works to transfer liquid concrete from the source of concrete to the place of casting. While manufacturing concrete pumps, various technical parameters are needed to be examined to prevent any technical difficulties during the use of the machinery.
ISO 21573‑2 enhances the efficiency of concrete pumps by monitoring the pipes from time to time using various methods.
ISO 21573‑2 assists the user in building highly efficient standardized machinery for construction purposes that is both durable and of high quality, so as to minimise both time and effort in tasks.
Proper examination of concrete pumps with ISO 21573‑2 reduces the chances of facing technical difficulties in the construction works that could deteriorate overall product performance. You can improve workability of the concrete by retaining its properties while also minimizing wastages.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS ISO 21573‑2:2020 is the second edition which replaces the first edition ISO 21573-2:2008. The main changes with respect to the previous edition are:
- Addition of the actual pumping output and efficiency measurement
- Addition of various characteristic parameters measuring methods
- Addition of various complemented performance measuring methods
