What is ISO/IEC 29192-4 - Mechanisms using asymmetric techniques for Lightweight cryptography about?
ISO/IEC 29192 is an international standard that discusses lightweight cryptography security techniques for information technology. ISO/IEC 29192-4 provides the best industry guidance on the mechanisms using asymmetric techniques. ISO/IEC 29192-4 is the fourth part of a multi-part series that outlines four lightweight mechanisms using asymmetric techniques:
- A unilateral authentication mechanism based on discrete logarithms on elliptic curves
- An authenticated lightweight key exchange (ALIKE) mechanism for unilateral authentication and establishment of a session key
- An identity-based signature mechanism
- A unilateral authentication scheme (ELLI) based on discrete logarithms on elliptic curves defined over finite fields of characteristics two
Who is ISO/IEC 29192-4 - Mechanisms using asymmetric techniques for Lightweight cryptography for?
ISO/IEC 29192-4 on mechanisms using asymmetric techniques for Lightweight cryptography is useful for:
- Organization or institutions using lightweight cryptography
- Test centres for lightweight cryptography
- Engineers and developers for lightweight cryptography
Why should you use ISO/IEC 29192-4 - Mechanisms using asymmetric techniques for Lightweight cryptography?
The asymmetric cryptographic technique is a cryptographic technique that uses two related operations: a public operation defined by a public data item, and a private operation defined by a private data item.
ISO/IEC 29192-4 guideline assists you with unilateral authentication mechanism based on discrete logarithms on elliptic curves, security requirements for the environment, unilateral authentication mechanism, unilateral authenticated key exchange mechanism based on encryption, identity-based signature mechanism, and unilateral authentication mechanism based on discrete logarithms on elliptic curves over finite fields of characteristic two for mechanisms using asymmetric techniques for lightweight cryptography.
With compliance and obedience to ISO/IEC 29192-4, you can enhance confidentiality in a high-speed environment such as big data and cloud computing as well as a lightweight environment such as mobile devices using mechanisms for asymmetric techniques for Lightweight cryptography.
