SAE J1469 MAR2026 is a Surface Vehicle Recommended Practice that establishes uniform laboratory test procedures for service, spring-applied parking, and combination brake actuators. The standard covers leakage, release and hold-off pressure, minimum pressure response, force output and stroke, low-temperature performance, chamber volume, corrosion resistance, mechanical back-off release mechanisms, elevated-temperature cycling, durability cycling, proof pressure, and vibration resistance. This revision supersedes SAE J1469 MAR2019 and includes updated service force output pressure, caging-time limits, preload limits, test-unit clarifications, and revised cycling requirements.
