Issued 2015-05 Revised 2026-03 Superseding J2836/5 DEC2021. This SAE Information Report establishes the Use Cases for communications and customer-focused Key Performance Indicators (KPI) between plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and their customers. It includes material from the ChargeX Consortium’s Working Group 1 to improve the customer experience for public EV charging.
